HEADINGLEY restaurant Salvo's is raising its glass to £150,000 in development funding from Yorkshire Bank as it celebrates 30 years in business.
The £150,000 facility, negotiated though the bank's financial solutions centre in Leeds, has been used for an extensive refurbishment of the whole restaurant.
A second phase of the renovations will see the launch of a private dining room and function/meeting room.
The revamp follows the launch of an adjacent Italian style deli and café, Salvo's Salumeria, last year – also funded by Yorkshire Bank.
Established in 1976, Salvo's has maintained its banking facilities with the Leeds-based bank since opening its doors on Otley Road 30 years ago.
Nick Wyrill, manager for Yorkshire Bank financial solutions centre, said: "Salvo's deserve huge congratulations on their 30 years of successful trading and we were delighted to be able to assist a longstanding and highly valued customer to enhance their business still further.
"It is a credit to the directors that in the last 30 years they have never rested on their laurels and continually sought a means of improving the business, thereby protecting and increasing their customer base in what is a highly competitive industry."
Salvo's are hosting a number of events throughout the year to celebrate their 30th anniversary, including celebratory dinners and the launch of a music CD.
